A redesigned identity of a Japan's 5 Star Hotel. The five concepts that I want to define in this identity are traditional, modern, elegant, spacious, and luxurious. The typeface I choose for the main identity is Didot because I feel this type face have all the characteristic that scream traditional and modern. I removed the stem of the "K" and "R" to open up the identity more to signifies the spacious feeling of the hotel. The "R" curves into the "A" replacing it at the crossbar really add a sense of elegancy and luxurious to the identity which capture the essences of the hotel well. Above I also provided the applications to the identity, they're simple in design but they captured the spirit of the hotel.
